Experience pays. Through the years, we have used our know-how to create unique solutions for the most difficult labeling situations. Here are just a few examples:
A client with cement trucks had a problem with the life of their fleet marking decals; the decals barely lasted one year. We asked how they cleaned them. When we discovered that they cleaned with an acid wash followed by scrubbibg with a stiff bristle brush. By laminating the decals with clear polyester, we were able to make more durable, acid-resistant decals with 3 to 4 times the lifespan..
Biohazard labels weren't sticking on medical waste containers. The containers were made of polyethylene, a low surface energy plastic. These plastics are used for a wide variety of products because of their chemical resistance and durability, but the same properties that make them resist chemicals, also makes them resist most adhesives. We developed a decal system for use on low surface energy plastics, with a proprietary special adhesive preparation that bonds securely. By keeping biohazard labels in place, our decal system helped prevent mishaps and liability.
Cheap inks look the same as expensive inks when they are new, but two years down the road reds might look pink. A customer who leases vacuum and air machines to to gas stations shopped around and had decals printed by another company at a lower price. Within two years, his savings turned to added expense when the decals faded and had to be replaced. Not only did he have to pay for printing new decals, he also had labor expenses for removing the old labels and replacing them. Becaus we only use automotive grade pigments, the decals we made for him lasted six to eight years, for substantial long-term savings.
